Mogela, Abeid, Baraza and Macho have been picked as members of the club’s Technical Committee, that is headed by former player Damian Mandebe (Chairman) and his Vice- Chairman is Ibrahim Masoud.
Other members in the committee are the former Vice-President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Crecensius Magori, Said Tully, Dr Kategile, John William, Jeff Lea and Bita John.
The club’s Information Officer, Ezekiel Kamwaga, said in a statement yesterday that the move aimed at improving the club’s administrative system.
Other notable appointments include Kigoma North MP (Chadema) Zitto Kabwe who has been appointed as member of the Finance Committee chaired by the incumbent Vice-Chairman of the club, Godfrey Nyange “Kaburu” and financier Rahma Al Khaloos as Vice-Chairperson.
Other members of the finance committee include Kondoa South MP (CCM) Juma Nkamia, Francis Waya and Ruge Mutahaba. The changes have also seen former Publicity Secretary Said Rubeya making his return to the club as a member of the Competition Committee.
The committee is under Chairman Swedy Mkwabi and Vice- Chairman Said Pamba. Other members of the 19-man committee are Selemani Zeddy (Bukene Member of Parliament - CCM), Jerry Yambi, Iddi Kajuna, Chaurembo, Gerrard Lukumay, Habbib Nassa, Bundala Kabulwa, Charles Hamkah, Abdulfatah Salum(Saphire) and Hatibu Mwinyi (Busta).
The list also has Abul Mshangama, Humphrey Zebedayo, majaliwa Mbassa, Suleiman Zakazaka, Kesi Mohamed Rashid and Mohamed Issa Mbena. Ibrahim Masoud will also head Youth Programmes Committee and he will be assisted by Vice-Chairman Ruge Mutahaba.
Members of the committee are Joseph Itangiare, Wilfred Kidau, Mohamed Abdallah, Said Tully, Canisius Masambola, Hamis Mrisho, Damas Ndumbaro and Talib Hilal. Meanwhile, the Mainland defending champions will be returning today from Oman, where they had pitched a twoweek training to shape up for the second round of the top flight league which resumes this weekend.
Simba played three friendly matches in Oman, in which they won one and lost two. In another development, the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Legal, Ethics and Players Status Committee which sat in Dar es Salaam on Saturday under Chairman Alex Mgongolwa, has cast off complaints filed by former Simba players Kenyan defender Pascal Ochieng and Ghanaian striker Daniel Akuffor, because their case has been amicably resolved.
The duo filed complaints at the TFF accusing Simba of terminating their contracts without paying them accordingly. TFF information Officer, Boniface Wambura Said the two parties resolved the issue and the players have been paid. Simba have also admitted that they are yet to pay former players Shija Mkina, Swalehe Kabali, Victor Costa and Rajab Isiaka and have promised to do so immediately, said Wambura.
