TMCC annual conference is the high point of quarterly seminars that the Marketing Initiatives Limited (MIL) organises, targeting Chief Executive Officers, Brand Custodians, Marketers, Public Relations and Communication Professionals.
According to MIL Chief Executive Officer Rodgers Mbaga, the conference brings participants together to discuss and work out new strategies and competences to build stronger brands and businesses in Tanzania and the East African Community (EAC) at large.
“The recent EAC opening of doors and borders to allow free movement of goods, services and labour in the region has created marketing challenges that require well thought out solutions,” said Mr Mbaga, noting that “The conference brings the best minds in the industry to share their deep rooted insights and proven experience.”
He said among the seasoned professionals expected to speak at the conference planned for September 26, 2012 include Continental Outdoor Media CEO Barry Sayer whose firm leads in an outdoor advertising market in South Africa and trades in other 14 countries.
Another expected speaker is Caroline Lukalo who boasts of over 20-year experience in local, regional and pan-African Marketing and Advertising with top local and international brands. She has developed marketing and communication strategies that cross both language and borders.
Tanzanian Rosemary Mwakitwange, chairperson of Marketing Society of Tanzania, will also share her insights with the conference delegates. Ms Mwakitwange, a motivational speaker, is a co-founder and Executive Chairperson of East Africa Business and Media Training Institute.
