Announcing the campaign dubbed ‘Deposit and Win’ last weekend in Dar es Salaam, the bank’s Senior Marketing and Communication Manager, Solomon Haule said clients of the bank stand a chance to win instant prizes such as umbrellas, key holders, mugs, t-shirts and Nokia mobile phones.
“Customers who open accounts with required minimum balance will qualify to enter into the lucky draw and can win any of these prizes,” Mr Haule noted adding that those depositing lump sums of 2m/- and above will enter the grand prize lucky draw.
During the campaign, customers depositing into their accounts stand a chance to get up to 10 per cent interest in their fixed deposit accounts. Haule said that in addition to the instant prizes through a lucky draw, there will also be monthly draws where winners will win tablets, motor cycles, Samsung smart phones, fuel vouchers as well as shopping vouchers.
“This promotion targets all our customers and potential customers who wish to open account with us,” he noted. The campaign also seeks to support financial inclusion by awarding customers who open new accounts. When a customer opens an account he enters into a customer lucky dip where they can win instant prizes just after doing so.
The campaign, governed by the Gaming Board of Tanzania, runs across all branches of the bank in the country. Bank of Africa started operations more than 30 years ago in Bamako, Mali.
In Tanzania, the bank has more than eight years servicing big corporate companies and small and medium enterprises. It has branches in Dar es Salaam (ten branches), and others in Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Morogoro, Mtibwa, Mbeya, Tunduma, Mwanza, Kahama and Mtwara regions.
