The survey, according to organisers, is aimed at creating industry databased and enable mid-sized companies to benchmark themselves against their peers.
It also seeks to highlight to policymakers the firms’ contribution to the country’s economic growth. The main sponsors of this year’s survey are KPMG, Bank M and Mwananchi Communication Limited (MCL).
Bank M was on Thursday introduced as the new platinum sponsor for the three years (2014-2016) for 100,000 US dollars per year.
Mr Nimrod Mkono, Bank M Chairman and KPGM Representative, Mr David Gachewa, signed a contract yesterday to that effect.
Speaking shortly before signing the contract, Mr Mkono said he was delighted by Bank M’s association with the survey. He said the exercise was designed to assist in raising standards of corporate governance in the country.
Mr Mkono pledged the bank’s continued support to various programmes in the community as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
