Clear Namibian hurdle to heighten status

TANZANIA envoys in the continental level women football tournament, Twiga Stars must have learnt well that nothing short of hard work, thorough planning and extra efforts plays a vital role towards the desired goals.

We believe Twiga Stars can turn tables away in Windhoek and this is strongly mirrored by their stellar performance in COSAFA Women Cup hence; their 2-1 loss at home to Namibia can be seen as just a minor slip.

The Women encounter is very crucial for the team and the country as the success can make the country a proud. Twiga Stars who eliminated Eritrea by beating them in both matches, played better away than what they showed in Dar es Salaam, hence they should take the loss as wake-up call for superior show in Namibia.

We would as well like to tell other envoys; Biashara United, Azam and Simba who feature in the CAF Inter-Club competitions to work hard and win their return matches. To avoid the 2019-20 season’s hoodoo, when all our teams were bundled out in the early stages, our teams ought to have had lengthy time to hone their skills for the looming events, so it is our belief that they are up to the challenge.

Simba’s opponents Jwaneng Galaxy, Azam’s Pyramid and Biashara’s Al Ahly Tripoli are very tough and well drilled, but we believe our envoys can overcome their threat if they seriously work hard and avoid silly mistakes. We would like to warn our envoys to be serious as competitors so that they can clear their hurdles when it comes to the continental level events.

Players in the teams should strive to demonstrate their skills at both individual and teamwork basis, since the ongoing continental level tournaments also serve as a good market for talented players.

We don’t have to think much to see what the country reaped from the 2020-21 season, as the country’s performance in the both Champions League and the Confederation Cup tells it all.

We would again insist the players engaged in the tournaments to work hard for their teams and themselves as we have witnessed that football pays handsomely as an entertaining source of income. We end up by wishing our envoys all the best in their coming continental level tournaments.

Kudos for Tanzania boosting digital economy
