Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) has signed an agreement with Voice of Nigeria to promote Kiswahili language.
Originated from the Coast of Tanzania, Kiswahili is a major Bantu language spoken in East Africa.
Voice of Nigeria (VON) is an External Service of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), formerly known as Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) based in Abuja, Nigeria.
At a signing ceremony held in Nigeria, TBC was represented by its Director General Dr Ayub Rioba and FRCN Director General Osita Okechukwu.
According to information posted on the Foreign Affairs and East Africa Cooperation official twitter account, the two sides strike the deal under the coordination of Tanzanian Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr Benson Bana.
