South Africa's President appoints Tanzanian young billionaire as investment advisor

South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Tanzania’s billionaire Mohamed Dewji alias ‘Mo Dewji’ as his economic adviser.

The business tycoon is now expected to attend all investment-related meetings and will be among President Ramaphosa's advisers for a period of five years.

Dewji has recently named as Africa’s billionaire number 13, with the the singular distinction that he is the most youthful of the top group.

He has joined the panel with the aim of strategizing on how best to attract local and foreign investors to Sadc member state.

It has been reported that President Ramaphosa's decision to pick the tycoon reflects Dewji’s contribution in regional investment flows that have spurred economic growth in various countries, as MeTL branches put up industries and create jobs in various areas.

Following this appointment, Mo Dewji will have the opportunity to attend various meetings inside and outside South Africa involving business people and government officials, with intent to spur economic growth and attract investors.

Mo Dewji is also one of big shareholder of Simba Sports Club which has already advanced to  CAF   African Champions League quarter finals.
