Speaker Ndugai graces Simba fans dinner gala

SPEAKER of the National Assembly, Job Ndugai is expected to officiate a dinner gala for Simba Sports Club fans of the Bunge Branch scheduled to take place in Dodoma today (November 18,2020).

According to Bunge Branch’s Chairman, Rashid Shangazi the event is also expected to be attended by Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa and Deputy Speaker, Tulia Ackson who are also members of the branch popularly known as Mjengoni Branch.

Shangazi, who doubles as Mlalo Member of Parliament (MP), said the event is aimed at welcoming new members as Parliament now has new lawmakers who are Simba fans.

“We want to register new members because we now have new Mps who want to support our team via the Mjengoni Branch,” he noted.

He said the important event was also expected to be attended by the club’s investor Mohammed Dewji.

The event is sponsored by Equity Bank, Azam TV, Mo Simba Foundation and Sport Pesa, among others.

According to Shangazi, anything might happen as a surprise to Simba Sports Club’s fans from an investor who pledged at a news conference in Dar es Salaam on Sunday that good news for the fans was in the offing.

Equity Bank Brand Manager in Dodoma Region, Upendo Makula, said her bank had entered an agreement with the club to have its members get cards that they can use to contribute for their team.

“So far, in Dodoma Region alone we have issued more than 1,000 cards to Simba fans and the exercise is still ongoing,” she said.

The press conference on Tuesday was also attended by the Club’s Chief Executive Officer; Barbara Gonzalez who asked fans to turn up in bigger numbers to see what the club has for them. “We want to demonstrate to others that Simba are in the next level compared to others.
