A total of 82,440 out of 84, 212 candidates who sat for the 2020 Form Six Examination have passed, National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA)'s Executive Secretary Dr Charles Msondo has said in Zanzibar today (Friday, August 21, 2020).
In comparison to the last year results, the pass rate has increased to 98.35 percent, up by 0.03 percent.
The Executive Secretary said that a total of 85,499 candidates, including 36,168 girls and 49,331 boys were registered for the exams.
The Council boss Dr Msonde said, 35,486 girls (99.07 percent) and 46,954 boys (97.81 percent) performed well.
Out of 82,440 candidates who passed their exams, 72,230 (equivalent to 97.74 percent) got between I-III divisions.
