QUALITY education remains the best investment parents and guardians can make for their children.

According to Bukoba Rural Member of Parliament (CCM) Jason Rweikiza, parents should invest heavily in education for their children if they have to expect good and sustainable returns.

The legislator made the remarks over the weekend at the award giving ceremony to best performers in the national standard seven examination at Dar es Salaam based St Anne Marie.

Mr Rweikiza said outstanding performance by students enabled the school to lead in the district, and the second and eighth in regional and national rankings.

He attributed the school’s performance to parents and guardians’ investment in education, saying parental role was inevitable for the country to good number of educated citizens.

“All students scored an average of A, these results have made us proud and encouraged us to do more... teachers are the corner stone of this achievement, and thanks for your hard working spirit,” said Mr Rweikiza.

Tanzania Private Inves tors in Education (TAPIE) President Ester Mahawe commended the school for the achievement but reminded the management against complacency but instead work hard to retain their position and do even better in future.

“You deserve congratulations for this achievement but don’t relax, teachers and students must work hard for better scores in the coming years,” she said.
