    Archrival music bands Msondo Ngoma and Mlimani Park Orchestra (Sikinde Ngoma ya Ukae) compete on Sunday at the TCC Club Chang’ombe.

    The event which will decide the champion of the year 2011 will start at 2pm until dawn with each band promising to entertain revellers to the maximum. Msondo Ngoma leader Said Mabera said on Saturday that they will play all their hit songs to ensure that they overshadow their rivals. “We have prepared well to outclass them,” Mabera said.

    He named some of the songs which they will feature as 'Nimuokoe Nani', 'Zarina', 'Mwanaidi', 'Kanjelenjele', 'Bahati', 'Sesilia', 'Usiue Usiibe', 'Asha Mwana Seif', 'Kauka Nikuvae', ‘Chuma Chikoli Moto', 'Kilio cha Mzima', 'Ajali' and 'Suluhu', and many others.

    Msondo Band members are Shaaban Dede, Mabera, Abdul Ridhiwani Pangamawe, Saad Ally 'Mashine', Eddo Sanga, Huruka Uvuruge, Zahor Bangwe, Ibrahim Kandaya, Ismail Mapanga, James Mawilla, Muhidini Gurumo, Eddo Sanga, Juma Katundu, Hamisi Mnyupe, Roma Mng’ande 'Romario’ and Hassan Moshi, son of legend TX Moshi William.

    On his part, Sikinde leader Habib Jeff said that they would emerge victorious boasting of their new equipment. “We have good singers and new instruments. It is only time that will tell,” Jeff said.

    He said that they will start with old songs like 'Selina', Wiki endi', 'Penzi la Fukara', 'Hiba', 'MV Mapenzi’ before finishing with their new songs such as 'Supu Umelitia Nazi' and 'Jinamizi la Talaka'.

    Sikinde musicians are Hassan Rehani Bitchuka, Hassan Kunyata, Kaingilila Maufi, Tony Karama, Shaaban Mabuyu, Habib Abassi, Juma Choka, Ally Jamwaka, Athumani Kambi, Mbaraka Othman, Hamisi Milambo, Shaaban Lendi, Joseph Bernard and Ramadhani Mapesa.

    The show has been organized by Keen Arts and Bob Entertainment under the sponsorship of Konyagi, a brand of Tanzania Distilleries Limited (TDL). The show will also set the stage to mark 40 years of Konyagi and 50 years of independence of Tanzania Mainland.
