ZUKU to color ZIFF

LAST Thursday Zuku channel officially announced its sponsorship to Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) that will start on 5th July till 12th July. It is a ten year deal of one billion shillings.

Through the amazing sponsor ZIFF may be in international standards something that can even help boosting our local movie makers as well as actors.

Ali Mufuruki is the chairperson of Wananchi Group, a company that own Zuku channel told the Star that his company will give ZIFF 100,000,000/= every year that will include an incremental raise. He added that Zuku’s long term involvement should help in attracting  greater consistency from other partners.

“As a broadcaster, Zuku is deeply invest in the growth  and success of East Africa’s creative and content industries, it is therefore with pride that enter into this association with ZIFF” he added.

The board’s chairperson of ZIFF  Mahmoud Thabit Kombo told the Star that the sponsorship will enabled Ziff to promote artists by finding better market for them as well as combating piracy.

He insisted that ZIFF has strongly promote Zanzibar tourism and culture to international standard and they currently focusing on promoting local films. The fully ZIFF program for this year will soon be announced. This year is the 15th years since Ziff started.
