Kibuna triumphs at Unicool golf tourney

SHAABAN Kibuna emerged overall winner in Division A, men’s category, at the Unicool Monthly Mug golf tournament that winded up at the Lugalo golf course in Dar es Salaam over the weekend.

Kibuna won the honour after posting one under par 71 nett in the event that brought together more than 60 men and women.The 18-hole monthly mug sponsored by Unicool witnessed Mitchel Brand finished runner-up with four over par 76 in Division A category.

It was all smiles for Japhet Masai in Division B category after he beat on coutback Burure Magige after each carded a level par 72.Godfrey Kilenga triumphed in Division C after posting exciting five under par 67, while Moses Omutoku finished second with 72 strokes.

In the women category, up and coming golfer, Angel Eaton made it in the ladies section with 70 strokes with Amina Hamis coming second with level 72.In the invitee category, Alfred Kinswaga topped the group after posting 71 strokes while Peter Fina was the runner-up with 76 strokes.

Unicool Managing Director, Mohamed Rweyemamu was impressed by the turn up and promised a continued support to make the event a success.“Be assured that we will keep sponsoring the event for six months with winner being assured of good prizes including mobile phones and air conditions,” he said.
