MWANZA will Sunday meet Morogoro in the Copa Coca-Cola U-17 Championship final encounter at the Karume Stadium in Dar es Salaam in a match that promises to be full of fireworks based on the calibre of the two sides.

The two sides enters into the final as surprise packages but they both proved to have been endowed with an amazing tenacity, which has so far helped them weather the challenge from opponents throughout the campaign. They overcame highly fancied semi-final opponents in the form of Temeke and Tanga.

Mwanza powered past Temeke with a 3-1 win, while Morogoro earned the finals ticket after winning their semis game 3-1 against Tanga. Both matches were played at Karume Memorial Stadium. The finals will be preceded by a third play off encounter pitting Temeke and Tanga at the same venue.

This year’s Copa Coca Cola finals kicked off on June 24 competing teams from 28 Mainland and Isles regions.
