THE Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball Association (DAREVA) has pushed forward its general meeting and election for a week.
The election was initially scheduled to be held yesterday in the city, but it has now been postponed to July 12, this year. DAREVA official Roggasen Joseph said that preparations to stage the general meeting and election are almost complete.
The elected leaders will represent Dar es Salaam region at the national body TAVA general election. He said that they rescheduled DAREVA election for a week so as to have smooth and successful election after TAVA also postponed theirs earlier planned for today in Moshi to August 13th, this year, in country capital Dodoma.
Joseph said, “DAREVA is looking forward to have a democratic election so as to elect committed leaders, who will be capable of taking our sport to another level.”
