TWENTY Overs (T20) and Pro 10 Cricket leagues resume today at Dar es Salaam Gymkhana and Leaders Club grounds in the city.
According to the fixtures released yesterday by events’ organiser Dar es Salaam Regional Cricket Committee(DRCC), Dar Gymkhana ground will host the T20 match between TCA Boys and Dar Gymkhana while Agakhan Sports Club(AKSC) will play against Boom Boom in a Pro 10 match at Leaders ground.
The official from DRCC Sanjay Bhatia added that the cricket duels will continue on Sunday at the two venues with three matches on plate.
He said there will be one T20 match at Dar Gymkhana Club on Sunday, while two Pro 10 matches will be staged at Leaders Club on the day.
St Gobain, one of the city’s cricket giants will face General Petroleum (GP) in a T20 game at Dar Gymkhana Club.
According to the DRCC Fixture, Telegu Stars are scheduled to play Union in the first Pro 10 duel at Leaders Club before opening the room for the second match, pitting Dikdiks against Veecom Warriors.
Twenty20 cricket, often abbreviated to T20, is a short form of cricket. At the professional level, it was originally introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition in England and Wales.
