Introduction of e-justice in legal system to reduce backlog of cases

Mr Mathias ChikaweOVER 266,135 cases are pending in courts of law across the country as government readies to introduce e-justice to reduce the backlog.Moving his ministry’s budget estimates, the Minister for Constitutional and Legal Affairs, Mr Mathias Chikawe told the National Assembly on Friday that 197,715 cases are pending in primary courts.

Mwai Kibaki Road to be upgraded to reduce congestion

Mr Aggrey MwanriGOVERNMENT  plans to upgrade Mwai Kibaki Road formerly known as Old Bagamoyo Road, to reduce traffic congestion. Government through Tanroads, has contracted Orplan (T) Ltd to conduct a feasibility study of Mwai Kibaki Road which is 5 kilometres long and Garden Road which is 1.2 kilometres long for the expansion to double lane roads.
