AN employee who managed to escape with property worth over 28m/- is being sought by the police.

Police are looking for one Shaban Said Bukhul for disappearing with his employer’s property worth over 28m/-.

They have issued an alert for anyone with information that might lead to the arrest of the culprit to immediately inform the police.

The alert was raised by the Urafiki Police Post SP Cosmas Papalika at Magomeni in Dar es Salaam in a statement released to the public.

The culprit who is an employee of Mars Communication is said to have gone after the latter’s cargo at Ubungo bus terminal and subsequently disappeared with it, instead of taking it to his employer as earlier agreed.

According to the statement, on December 28 at around 6 am, Mr Shaban Said Bukhul went to Ubungo bus terminal, where he went and claimed that he had been sent by his employer to collect the luggage worth 28.5 million.

The complainant, Mr Ally Mwinyimvua promised a hefty reward to anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the fugitive.
